Safety

Your safety is very important. Each vessel can safely accommodate up to 400 lbs. All participants must wear proper life vest provided by Emerald Surf Water Sports.  All of our vessels are fully outfitted with the proper equipment required by law.  The operator is responsible for any damages and they are responsible for the safety of their passengers.  It is important to be fully aware of your surroundings to avoid any collision. We reserve the right to end any activity without a refund if any rules are violated.

Procedures

Participants are required to sign a liability waiver.  Persons under the age of 18 MUST have a parent/guardian to sign the waiver.  A valid driver's license is required as a deposit for every jet ski rental.  You must be at least 16 years of age to operate any PWC at Emerald Surf Water Sports. To operate a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater, a person born on or after January 1, 1988, must have completed a boater education course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), or passed an approved equivalency exam. 

Vessel operators who are required to have completed a boating education course or exam must carry on board:

• His or her Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card issued by the FWC and… 
• A photographic identification card.

Emerald Surf Water Sports offers a temporary certificate for $3.00. It generally takes just 15-20 minutes and it is good for one year.  If you would like more information on how to receive a permanent card, please go to www.boatus.org.

Refunds

Weather plays a very important role when planning your activities.  We work with you in rescheduling your activity for bad weather days.  If you are unable to reschedule, you will receive a full refund. Other circumstances may occur where you are not available to make your scheduled time for your activity,  we kindly ask you to give us a proper 24 hour notice by calling (850) 624-4982.  We will be happy to reschedule or give you a refund. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS IF A PROPER CANCELLATION NOTICE IS NOT GIVEN. 

Emerald Surf Water Sports reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without notice.
